SPORTS FACILITIES

Minute Maid Park

Minute Maid Park

Minute Maid Park was the first stadium built by the Harris County - Houston Sports Authority. Home to the Houston Astros, the ballpark played host to both the MLB All-Star Game in 2004 and the first-ever MLB World Series in Texas in 2005. The opening of Houston's home for Major League Baseball in the spring of 2000 was a milestone in the history of the Harris County - Houston Sports Authority. It brought the Sports Authority's first project to completion and set a standard for the other stadium projects that have followed. For more detailed information on the Houston Astros or Minute Maid Park, please click here. All official documents concerning the construction of this facility can be found in our Legal Info section.
